I have long been a skeptic about State action against insider trading, which is believed to be widely prevalent in India. Writing in the Wall Street Journal yesterday, Donald J. Boudreaux has a nice scheme which can replace the existing policy framework.

Hi,

Insider trading is something that has been going on since trading was first established. It is most commonly known to happen via the Stock Exchange, and by all counts is legal. However, this type of inside-trading is governed by very specific laws and regulations.
