Economic Events on September 14, 2012

At 8:30 AM Eastern time, the Consumer Price Index report for August will be released.  The consensus is that CPI increased 0.6% last month, and there was a 0.2% increase in CPI when food and energy are removed.

Also at 8:30 AM Eastern time, the Retail Sales report for August will be released.  The consensus is that retail sales were 0.8% higher last month, after an increase 0.8% in the previous month.

At 9:15 AM Eastern time, the Industrial Production report for August will be released. The consensus is that there will be a decrease 0f 0.1% in production and a decrease 0f 0.2% in industrial capacity utilization.

At 9:55 AM Eastern time, Consumer Sentiment for the first half of September will be announced.  The consensus is that the index will be at 73.5, which would be a decrease of 0.8 points from the level reported in the second half of last month.

At 10:00 AM Eastern time, the Business Inventories report for July will be released.  The consensus is that inventories increased 0.5% from the previous month.
