"But first, let’s take responsibility, reject paternalism and quit the blame game."

Well said ... I've been stressing that in college classes for years!

The proof lies with one's outlook on mankind, doesn't it? So do all except the simple,
proven, factual assumptions of economics like supply and demand.

You just can't create more supply of a proven, finite resource!

All else is wishful thinking about the predictabilty of mankind, or one economic theory
or another. All are subject to one failure or another, depending on the fallability of
individuals.

The acceptance of responsibility, more than one theory or another, implies the outcome of
how much or how little individual freedom mankind achieves.
